Identifying Peer-Reviewed Articles

Identifying Peer-Reviewed Articles

Ghaedrahmati, M., Kazemi, A., Kheirabadi, G., Ebrahimi, A., & Bahrami, M. (2017). Postpartum depression risk factors: A narrative review. Journal of education and health promotion, 6, 60. https://doi.org/10.4103/jehp.jehp_9_16

The database used to search for the article is PubMed. PubMed has a large collection of journal articles, e-books, and clinical guidelines on diverse nursing and health topics. One of the challenges experienced when searching for the above journal article is taking so much time to retrieve the article. This is because there are many articles on the topic, even though filters were applied. Additionally, it was also a challenge to find the specific term I required for my topic and as a result, I tried and used various subject terms prior to retrieving the subject of interest.

The databases can be very valuable to my colleagues. This is because the database contains very many recent journal articles on nursing and health topics. Therefore, my colleagues can use the available evidence-based journal articles to acquire knowledge on various nursing and health areas owing to the broad range of journal articles and records within the database. Moreover, all the journal articles in the database are peer-reviewed which ensures the reliability and validity of the information from the journal articles. Moreover, using the database, my colleagues would be able to compare various journal articles and select the most suitable research article for their research topic. Moreover, journal articles in the database are free and this means it is possible to retrieve journal articles without having to pay.
